Usage and application of Sorbox 80 :
1. Pharmaceutical: It is used for solubilisation of fat soluble vitamins like Vitamin A and various pharmaceutical formulations. It can also be used as a solubilising and dispersing agent in vitamin and minerals preparations. Sorbox-80 can also be used in making anhydrous ointments, water soluble or washable.
2. Cosmetic: Sorbox-80 is used to prepare various oil in water type creams and lotions. It can be used in combination with hydrophobic emulsifier like sorbitan esters for making variety of emulsions. It also finds application for solubilising oil soluble dyes and perfumes in water.
3 Agriculture: It is used as an adjuvant for enhancing the activity of herbicides and plant growth nutrient formulation.
4. Food: Sorbox-80 is used as an emulsifier in ice-creams, fruit sharbats, pickles and pickle products, in yeast defaomer formulations, emulsifier for edible oils and fats in special dietary foods. It is also used in the processing of oleo-resins and as a flavouring dispersant.
